Bamiango, Western Region – Nana Amuzu Miezah III, a member of the Ngyeafo family, has officially taken the oath of office as the Chief of the Gwira-Aiyinasi in the Gwira Traditional Area of the Western Region.
The swearing-in ceremony was presided over by Awulae Angama Tu-Agyan, the President of the Gwira Traditional Council.
During the ceremony, Awulae Tu-Agyan administered the oath of office, secrecy, and allegiance to Nana Miezah III.
The new chief was charged to exhibit loyalty to the President of the Traditional Council and to adhere to the established rules and regulations governing the council.
In his address, Awulae Tu-Agyan urged the community to extend maximum support to Nana Miezah III, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts for the growth and development of the area.
He also appealed to the youth to refrain from verbal attacks on chiefs and collaborate with them to drive socio-economic transformation within their respective communities.
Additionally, Awulae Tu-Agyan appointed Nana Miezah III to oversee Roads and Transport development within the traditional council, assigning a key role to the new chief in the community's infrastructure and transportation initiatives.
Nana Ete Agrade of Gwira-Banso, the right-hand Chief of Awulae Tu-Agyan, encouraged all chiefs in the area to demonstrate boldness and courage in their traditional administrative roles.
Expressing his commitment to service, Nana Miezah III pledged loyalty, dedication, and a wholehearted effort towards the accelerated growth of his people and the traditional council.
