Mr Godfred Nti Anewu, the Assin Central New Patriotic Party's (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate (PC), has demonstrated his support for the Muslim community by presenting 15 bags of sugar to kickstart the holy month of Ramadan.
The bags of sugar were delivered to the Muslim community in the area by Alhaji Hamda Mumin, the Nasara Coordinator of the Party in the constituency, on behalf of the PC.
Alhaji Mumin highlighted that the gesture was a show of solidarity with the Muslim community as they embarked on their spiritual journey during the month of Ramadan. He urged them to remember to pray for the constituency, the country, and leadership at all levels so they could serve the people effectively.
Imam Iddrisu of the Assin Fosu Central Mosque, who received the donation, expressed gratitude on behalf of the community and assured that the items would be distributed equitably. He specified that areas benefiting from the donation include the Assin Fosu Zongo community and Muslims in Assin Central, emphasizing that the support would greatly assist Muslims during Ramadan.
Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, is observed by Muslims worldwide through fasting and prayers, commemorating Prophet Mohammed's receipt of the Holy Quran. The generous gesture from Mr Godfred Nti Anewu underscores his commitment to fostering inclusivity and supporting religious observances within the constituency.
