The Bono East Regional Organizer of the National Democratic Party (NDC), Mr Prince Opoku Mensah, has revealed that 37 aspirants will be vying for the party's parliamentary primaries in the region.
Out of the 37 aspirants, only two of them are female: the incumbent MP for Techiman North constituency, Mrs Elizabeth Ofosu Agare, and Mrs Felicia Adjei, who is contesting for the Kintampo South constituency primaries.
All the aspirants passed through the vetting process successfully, according to Mr Mensah, who spoke with the Ghana News Agency in Techiman.
In the 2020 elections, the NDC won eight out of the 11 parliamentary seats in the region.
However, Mr Mensah stated that the party had re-strategized and is determined to capture all the parliamentary seats in the region in the next general election.
