Ghana’s power supply faces challenges as the Ghana Grid Company Ltd (GRIDCo) has announced a supply gap of 550MW during peak hours due to limited gas supply to Tema. This supply gap is expected to impact power distribution in various parts of the country.
In a statement, GRIDCo stated, “The Ghana Grid Company Ltd, (GRIDCo), the ‘Operator’ of the National Interconnected Transmission System (NITS) informs the general public that due to limited gas supply to Tema, there will be a supply gap of 550MW at peak time.”
The inconvenience caused by this power supply challenge is deeply regretted.GRIDCo’s Corporate Communications Section released this information, highlighting the potential impact on electricity distribution across the nation.
