The substantive case between Ashantigold Football Club and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has been adjourned to Tuesday, May 30th, 2023 by the Accra Human Rights Court.
The cross-examination of the GFA's General Secretary, Prosper Harrison Addo, by Ashantigold's lawyer, Edward Sam Crabbe, took place on May 8th, 2023.
Both parties have been granted a 14-day window to submit their closing arguments and will return to court on May 30th, 2023, for the verdict.
Ashantigold FC is challenging their relegation to Division Two last year after they were found guilty of match-fixing by the GFA's Disciplinary Committee.
The Obuasi-based club is urging the court to nullify their demotion and force Ghana's football governing body to give them a fair hearing.
