The 1999-year Group of Aggrey Memorial Old Students Association (AMOSA) has kicked off its 25th-anniversary celebration by unveiling a logo that encapsulates its storied legacy project.
The event, slated for March 2024, will center around the theme: “Celebrating Our Silver Jubilee: Supporting Education Within a Serene Environment Anchored on Discipline.”
As part of the festivities, the association has planned various activities aimed at giving back to the community.
These include free medical screening for the residents of Brafo Yaw, the school's catchment community, and free National Health Insurance Registration for the non-teaching staff of Aggrey Memorial A.ME. Zion Senior High School.
Key highlights of the celebration encompass the commissioning of the Legacy Project, a career development show for current students, an exhibition and promotion of products and services by Amosa 99 Entrepreneurs, and a thanksgiving service to conclude the celebration.
Mr. Isaac Kofi Dankwa, Chairman of the Planning Committee, outlined the group's ambitious project, emphasizing the redesigning of the school's entrance to enhance its image.
The entire project is estimated to cost GH₵330,000.00, aiming to bolster security measures and instill discipline within the school.
Mr. Theophilus Tei Agyanou, the Board Chair for the anniversary, issued a call to all old students to unite in supporting the project, expressing the potential to elevate the status of their alma mater.
He further appealed to corporate bodies to contribute to this laudable initiative, creating an enabling environment for both students and teachers to foster improved academic outcomes.
