The Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC) is set to inaugurate a state-of-the-art office complex in on Monday, July 17th.

The establishment of this complex is part of the ORC’s commitment to being closer to the business community and enhancing the quality of services provided to clients in the northern sector of Ghana.

The construction of the office complex, funded through internally generated funds from the Registrar Generals’ Department (RGD) and ORC, began in 2012 and was completed in 2022.

It is intended to cater to the business community in the , as well as parts of the Western, , and Eastern regions.

The facility features 34 offices, two conference halls, four kitchenettes, 21 lavatories, two large car parks, a janitor’s office, a pantry, a canteen, a reception area, and a security office.

Nana Ama Akyiaa Prempeh, the Ashanti Regional Head of the ORC, expressed her excitement about the timely completion of the office complex. She highlighted that the previously rented premises in an obscure area of Kumasi had made it challenging for businesses to locate and engage with the ORC.

The new office complex, strategically located in a prime business district, will not only enhance access to the ORC’s services but also provide streamlined and high-quality services to the public.

Since its utilization, the modern building has already led to an increase in patronage due to its easy accessibility and pleasant environment.

Nana Akyiaa Prempeh praised Mr. Joseph Kofi Harley, the former Registrar General, for initiating the construction project, and Mrs Jemima Oware, the current Registrar of Companies, for their unwavering dedication in ensuring the successful completion of the complex.
