Mr. Thomas Worlanyo Tsekpo, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Hohoe, has embarked on a significant road-reshaping initiative within the constituency. This effort aims to address the longstanding issue of poor road conditions and improve accessibility for residents.
Under Mr. Tsekpo's development campaign agenda, several inner roads spanning approximately 10 kilometres are undergoing reshaping. These include vital routes such as COCOBOD – Galikope, Hohoe Zongo – Dayi Bridge, By fire junction – slaughterhouse, HEPSS – Akpatanu, Wli Dzogbega – Abledze, Gbi-Wegbe – Gbi-Godenu, and Alavanyo Abehenease – Foyers de Charite.
Mr. Prosper Kumi, the Hohoe Constituency Secretary of the NDC, highlighted that this initiative demonstrates Mr. Tsekpo's commitment to supporting constituents by providing essential social amenities, including improved road infrastructure. He emphasized that many of these neglected roads are now receiving much-needed attention.
The reshaping of these roads is particularly crucial for residents in hard-to-reach areas, facilitating transportation and enhancing trade and commerce. Farmers like Addi Ahorsu from Akpatanu have expressed relief, citing the significant challenges faced due to the poor road conditions. During the rainy season, transporting goods to town becomes exceedingly difficult, often resulting in additional expenses or incomplete journeys.
Mr. Tsekpo's proactive approach to addressing infrastructure challenges underscores his dedication to serving the community's needs and improving the quality of life for constituents. As the road reshaping projects progress, residents can look forward to enhanced connectivity and accessibility, fostering economic growth and development in the Hohoe Constituency.
