The National Youth Authority's Chief Executive Officer, Pius Enam Hadzide, has clinched victory in the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) parliamentary primary for the Asuogyaman constituency, securing 423 votes.
The former Deputy Information Minister surpassed three other contenders, with Paul Ansah polling 131 votes, Michael Ansah at 113 votes, and Nana Abrokwa Asare securing 95 votes.
In a competitive battle in the Western Region, Barbara Oteng Gyasi emerged triumphant in the Prestea Huni Valley parliamentary primary with a commanding 973 votes. Gyasi outpaced Theophilus Tawiah, who garnered 255 votes.
However, in the Greater Accra region, Nii Lante Bannerman faced defeat in the Odododiodio parliamentary primary, losing to Abdul Manaf Nii Adjei Sowah, who secured 737 votes.
Mr Bannerman, despite a valiant effort, managed to secure 524 votes.
The NPP parliamentary primaries also saw victories for Nii Noi Nortey and Jefferson Sackey in the Klottey Korle and Ablekuma Central Constituencies, respectively.
In the Klottey Korle Constituency, Nii Noi Nortey emerged as the winner with a resounding 838 votes.
Competitors Harold Quartey polled 116 votes, while Rexford Oppong secured 94 votes.
Ablekuma Central witnessed a keenly contested race, with Jubilee House staffer Jefferson Sackey clinching victory with 539 votes.
Other contenders included Ebenezer Nartey with 441 votes, Collins Amoah with 493 votes, and Larry Anyetei Adjei securing 11 votes.
