Elder Emmanuel Tobbin emerges victorious in NPP parliamentary primary: Ghana News

Elder Emmanuel Tobbin, Chief Executive Officer of Ascot Pharmacy, has emerged victorious in the New Patriotic Party () in Anyaa Sowutuom, defeating the incumbent Member of (MP), Dr. Dickson Adomako Kissi.

Out of 1,384 valid votes cast at the Maranatha University College in Sowutuom, Tobbin secured 818 votes, while Dr. Kissi polled 566 votes. Voting concluded promptly at 1400 hours, with 1,485 delegates expected to cast their ballots.

In his victory message, Tobbin expressed gratitude, stating, “The victory for Anyaa Sowutuom is a victory for .” He pledged to collaborate with constituency executives and the incumbent MP to advance the party's agenda and “fight the greater cause to break the 8.”

Tobbin also committed to lobbying for developmental projects for the constituency, urging party members to unite and move the NPP forward.

NPP Constituency Chairman for Anyaa Sowutuom, Mr. Anthony Boadu, called on party members to extend full support to Tobbin to ensure victory in the 2024 general election.

Nana Agyenim Boateng, NPP Constituency Secretary for Anyaa Sowutuom, commended the peaceful and transparent conduct of the election.

He emphasized the need for unity to maintain power, expressing confidence that Dr. would be inaugurated as the next President of the Republic in 2025.

Boateng congratulated both Tobbin and Dr. Kissi, along with the delegates, and commended the efforts of the security services and the in ensuring a successful election.
