Yaw Buaben Asamoa, a prominent figure in the Movement for Change (M4C), has revealed that Alan Kyerematen has garnered the endorsement of the Alliance for Revolutionary Change (ARC) as the presidential candidate for the upcoming December elections.
The ARC, officially inaugurated in Accra on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, seeks to unite various significant political entities, movements, and individuals. The objective is to collaborate closely and participate in the 2024 general elections.
In an interview with Umaru Sanda Amadu on Eyewitness News on Citi FM, Mr. Asamoa clarified that while Mr. Kyerematen will represent the alliance as its candidate, he will campaign in his capacity as the leader and founder of the M4C.
He emphasized that the alliance welcomes all individuals interested in moving beyond the dominance of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Mr. Asamoa assured that joining the alliance does not entail giving up one's core identity, as entities, movements, and individuals who align with ARC will still retain their distinct identities.
“The Alliance has endorsed Mr. Alan Kyerematen as the presidential candidate. The ARC is a grouping and it is still open for many others to join… Nobody is losing their core identities; however, they all subscribe to the ideals of the ARC Mr Kyerematen will be the candidate of the alliance but would campaign as the leader and founder for M4C,” he elucidated.
