The Very Reverend Dr. Solomon Bruce, Superintendent Minister of the Wesley Methodist Cathedral in Sunyani, has called upon Ghanaians to embrace a more nationalistic spirit in all aspects of their lives in 2024, emphasizing the importance of holistic national development.
In his New Year message to Christians and the public, Very Rev. Dr. Bruce highlighted the significance of the New Year as a time for self-assessment, urging individuals to positively impact the lives of others for the socio-economic progress of both the individual and the nation.
Commenting on the upcoming Election 2024, Dr. Bruce advised the electorate to choose selfless and dedicated leaders who prioritize the well-being of the people over self-seeking politicians.
He cautioned against exchanging the nation's fate for material gain, stressing the need for responsible leadership that unites, defends rights, and promotes the welfare of all citizens.
“The electorate has a critical role to play in the development of the country by voting for leaders ready to unite, defend rights, and promote the welfare of the people,” said Very Rev. Dr. Bruce.
He also urged Christians to exemplify Christ-like character in schools, workplaces, and communities for effective evangelization.
Emphasizing the importance of trust in God, he encouraged believers to face the New Year without dwelling on potential challenges, stating, “God is always ahead of His people and has better plans for all who truly believe in Him.”
