President Nana Akufo-Addo has named Dr Evans Aggrey-Darkoh as the new head of Ghana's Civil Service, succeeding Nana Kwasi Agyekum-Dwamena.
Aggrey-Darkoh, formerly the chief director at the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, will lead the Civil Service pending formal advice from the Public Service Commission.
The appointment, made under Article 193(1) of the Constitution and Section 6(1) of the Civil Service Act, 1993 (PNDC 327), was announced in a letter by the President's secretary, Nana Bediatuo Asante. Aggrey-Darkoh has 14 days to confirm his acceptance of the role.
