MTN Ghana has extended its annual tradition of spreading joy during the festive season by presenting hampers to 20 babies born on Christmas day at the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH).
The hampers, containing assorted baby essentials, aim to support the mothers in caring for their newborns.
The beneficiaries include 12 females and five males delivered through normal means and three born via emergency caesarian section.
A team from MTN Ghana, led by Mr Aseye Kwami Akude, Manager, Retail Experience, North, personally delivered the hampers to the mothers at the Labour Ward of the TTH.
Mr Akude expressed that Christmas is a season of love and sharing, and MTN chose to share the joy by donating hampers consisting of baby essentials and airtime to mothers who delivered on Christmas day.
This annual initiative by MTN Ghana spans 30 regional and district hospitals across the country, distributing approximately 500 hampers to babies born during the Christmas period.
Besides the Tamale Teaching Hospital, MTN Ghana is replicating the gesture at the Saboba District Hospital in the Northern Region.
Beneficiaries expressed joy and gratitude for the thoughtful gesture, emphasizing the practicality of the items for their immediate needs.
MTN Ghana's initiative was also appreciated by the staff of the Labour Ward, who received airtime donations to facilitate communication and outreach efforts.
