NHIA releases over GH¢170 million to healthcare providers

The (NHIA), under the auspices of the Government of Ghana, disbursed a substantial sum of GH¢170,775,035.07 to various tiers of healthcare providers on April 30th, 2024.

This substantial payment, which encompasses claims from January to February 2024 for lower-tier facilities and extends up to November 2023 for upper-tier facilities and healthcare providers, underscores the government's commitment to ensuring the continuous provision of quality healthcare services to all citizens.

Dr. Da-Costa Aboagye, the Acting Chief Executive of NHIA, expressed gratitude to all accredited healthcare facilities for their unwavering dedication to the well-being of communities nationwide. He extended warm wishes to all healthcare workers on the occasion of May Day, recognizing their pivotal role in safeguarding public health.

Acknowledging the significance of transparency, the NHIA has provided a platform for the verification of payments to healthcare facilities via nhis.gov.gh/payments, reaffirming its commitment to accountability and effective management of resources.
