Mrs. Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Special Assistant to former President John Dramani Mahama, has issued a strong denial regarding allegations suggesting that she benefited from a Government of Ghana Scholarship. In a statement, Mogtari dismissed the claims as propaganda and falsehood propagated by dishonest members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Mogtari emphatically stated that she has never applied for nor received any grant or scholarship from either the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) or Ghana's Scholarship Secretariat. Additionally, she clarified that she has never been a student at Portsmouth University, leaving no room for doubt regarding her educational background.
The statement from Mogtari comes as a response to what she perceives as attempts by the NPP to discredit her unfairly. She urged the public to disregard the publication containing the allegations and emphasized that it serves as yet another confirmation of the dishonesty within the NPP ranks.
Mogtari's denial underscores the ongoing political tensions in the country and highlights the lengths to which individuals may go to tarnish reputations in the midst of political rivalry.
