Mr. Alan Kyerematen, founder and presidential candidate of the Movement For Change (MFC), a splinter group from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), is set to launch an interactive talk show in Ghana.
Titled the “Alan Prime Show,” the program will be broadcast on prominent platforms, providing an avenue for Kyerematen to articulate his vision for improving the lives of Ghanaians.
“As I premiere what will foreseeably become the most exciting, informative, and interactive Talk Show in Ghana… You will learn firsthand how Ghana will move from poverty to prosperity through the Great Transformational Plan,” Kyerematen affirmed.
The MFC has encouraged the public to register on Kyerematen's social media platforms for a chance to be one of the lucky 100 live studio audience members. These participants will have the opportunity to pose questions directly to Kyerematen, who pledges to address the concerns of the electorate.
Kyerematen resigned from President Akufo Addo's government in 2023 after serving as the Trade and Industry minister for seven years. Subsequently, he parted ways with the NPP to establish the MFC. Observers suggest that this breakaway faction could challenge the NPP's dominance in the Ashanti region, a stronghold for the party.
Analysts speculate the emergence of a third political force in Ghana if the MFC can make significant waves in the 2024 elections. Historically, the political landscape in Ghana has been dominated by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the NPP.
