suffered a major setback as they were handed a humiliating 4-1 defeat by City during Matchday 28 of the betPawa Premier League at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.

City was under pressure to win the game as they are currently at the bottom of the league table and this victory was needed for their survival.

Sampson Eduku scored two goals in the first half while Yahaya Mohammed and Isaac Mensah sealed the victory for Tamale City.

Eduku scored the opener in the 17th minute and added another through a penalty in the 35th minute to give Tamale City a comfortable lead.

Tamale City now stands at the 13th position on the league log with 35 points while Hearts of Oak drops to the 6th spot with 42 points.

In another fixture at Golden City Park, came from behind to defeat Kotoku Royals 2-1.

Kalo Ouattara and Patrick Kofi Ansu scored the goals for while Mohammed Zakari scored for Kotoku Royals.
