The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has successfully intercepted a truck loaded with 180 sacks of substances believed to be cannabis at Dodi, near Akosombo in the Eastern Region.
The seizure, which occurred on Saturday, December 2, 2023, resulted from an intelligence-led operation that led authorities to the truck, abandoned in a nearby bush.
According to a statement from Nana Nkwanta Bisa of the Public Affairs Department, NACOC, the search of the truck uncovered 180 sacks of the suspected substance cleverly concealed within poultry feed.
“The truck, along with the exhibits, is currently in the custody of the Commission, pending further investigations,” the statement affirmed.
No suspects have been apprehended in connection with the seizure at this time, as investigations into the matter continue.
