The Ministry clarified that neither the Ministry nor the Labour Department has been approached by any Ghanaian lady seeking authorization to recruit labour for Alberta Oilfields in Canada. It emphasized that there are licensed Private Employment Agencies authorized by the Ministry to handle such recruitments within the legal and policy frameworks.

The statement urged the public to verify the status of recruitment agencies through the official website of the Ministry (www.melr.gov.gh).

The Ministry condemned the false and malicious content of the video, describing it as an attempt to tarnish the Ministry's image and that of Ghanaian leaders. It reassured the public of its commitment to facilitating access to decent jobs through safe pathways.
