Medeama Sporting Club has officially announced a coaching change, with the Bosnian tactician, Kapor Nebojsa, set to take over as the new head coach.
The current head coach, Evans Adotey, will revert to his previous role as the technical director of the club.
The announcement comes at a challenging time for Medeama, as they have struggled both domestically and internationally.
In the CAF Champions League, they have won only one game and suffered heavy defeats against Al Ahly and Yanga SC, putting their chances of advancing to the knockout stages at risk.
Additionally, their performance in the Ghana Premier League has been underwhelming.
Kapor, who has been following Medeama’s progress, was present with the team during their recent trip to Tanzania.
His familiarity with the domestic landscape and eagerness to take on the challenge makes him a strategic choice for the club.
Adotey, who led the club to its first Ghana Premier League title last season and historic qualification to the group stage of the CAF Champions League, remains committed to the club’s success.
He is willing to support Kapor in any way possible, leveraging his experience and guidance.
The coaching change is viewed as a bold move by Medeama to revitalize their fortunes both domestically and internationally.
With Kapor at the helm, the club aims to turn things around and make a strong push for silverware on multiple fronts.
