Kojo Addae-Mensah, Chief Executive of Databank, has been appointed to the Ghana Football Association's (GFA) special five-member search committee tasked with finding a new head coach for the Black Stars, replacing Ace Ankomah.
The Committee, led by GFA Vice President Mark Addo, also includes Professor Joseph Mintah, Sports Ministry Chief Director William Caesar Kartey, and Ghanaian Football legend Opoku Nti.
According to the GFA, the committee has a three-week timeframe to recommend the next Black Stars coach to the Executive Council for approval.
The search for a new head coach follows the dismissal of Chris Hughton after the Black Stars failed to advance from the group stages at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Prospective applicants have until February 2, 2024, to submit their applications for the vacant role, as outlined in an earlier statement by the Ghana Football Association.
The GFA stipulates that the new head coach must meet five criteria, including possessing 15 years of coaching experience, to be eligible for the position of Black Stars head coach.
