His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al Quds Committee, has instructed the deployment of a significant humanitarian food aid operation for the Palestinian population in Gaza and the Holy City of Al Quds.
This humanitarian aid initiative, launched during the holy month of Ramadan, aims to alleviate the suffering of Palestinian communities, particularly the most vulnerable segments among them.
The aid, comprising over 40 tons of foodstuffs including essential items, underscores the King's unwavering commitment to supporting the Palestinian people. His Majesty has not only directed institutional aid through the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity but has also personally financed a substantial portion of the assistance, especially aid directed towards infants and young children.
Notably, Morocco stands as the first country to dispatch humanitarian aid to Gaza via an unprecedented land route, demonstrating its swift response and tangible support amidst the ongoing challenges faced by Palestinian populations.
Additionally, His Majesty has instructed the Bayt Mal Al Quds Agency to provide humanitarian assistance to families in the Holy City of Al Quds. This initiative includes distributing food baskets to thousands of families, serving daily meals, and establishing an emergency coordination room at Jerusalem Hospital.
This extensive humanitarian effort underscores King Mohammed VI's enduring commitment to the Palestinian cause and exemplifies Morocco's longstanding solidarity with Palestine. The aid, tailored to meet the needs of vulnerable groups and timed to coincide with Ramadan, reflects the Kingdom's consistent support for Palestine and its people.
Furthermore, this humanitarian operation is marked by its exceptional nature, utilizing a direct land route for aid delivery. Transported via Moroccan planes to Tel Aviv and then overland to Gaza, this approach demonstrates the King's unique ability to navigate complex diplomatic channels to provide assistance where it is most needed.
