The 3rd edition of the International Fitness and Bodybuilding Federation (IFBB) West Africa championship is scheduled to take place on April 27, 2024, at the Ga Mashie Hall of the Trust Sports Emporium in Accra.
A total of eight countries, comprising 35 athletes, have confirmed their participation in this highly anticipated event.
Mr. George Fousta Baffoe, Vice President of the Ghana Bodybuilding and Fitness Association (GBFA), expressed optimism about this year's championship, highlighting the increased participation and competitiveness compared to previous years.
“We have eight countries confirmed for this year's competition, including Tanzania, Niger, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Togo, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, and host nation Ghana. We are still awaiting confirmation from Nigeria,” Mr. Baffoe stated.
He emphasized the significance of having such a diverse range of countries competing and expressed gratitude to Iron Man Supplements for their consistent support.
Ghana will be well-represented by 15 athletes across various categories, including traditional bodybuilding, Men's Physique, Female Bikini, and Men's Classic Physique, with support from Iron Man Supplements.
Dr. Samuel Adjei, Technical Director of the Association, called on Ghanaians to rally behind Team Ghana and show their support during the championship.
