The Head of Finance at the Eastern Regional Coordinating Council (ERCC), Dr. Alexander Otopah, has advised accounts staff at municipal and district assemblies to proactively submit their financial reports for validation.
Dr. Otopah emphasized that this approach would contribute to effective financial reporting and account consolidation.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Dr. Otopah highlighted the integration of ERCC accounts into the national system and urged staff to go the extra mile to ensure timely report submissions.
He assured that management would provide the necessary support, including logistics and professional leadership, to enhance service delivery at the Coordinating Council.
Dr. Otopah encouraged staff to adhere to the code of conduct of the Local Government Service and the Controller and Accountant General Department in their activities.
He expressed gratitude to Eastern Regional Minister Mr. Seth Kwame Acheampong and Eastern Regional Coordinating Director Mr. John A. Donkor for fostering a conducive atmosphere that facilitated the accounts unit’s assistance in executing various ERCC programs last year.
