The Chief and Elders of Nkroful have bestowed the honour upon Mr Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, Member of Parliament (MP) for Ellembelle, for his significant contributions to the celebration of NKRUMAFEST and his advocacy for the promotion of the Nzema Language.
Mr. Buah was recognized for his pivotal role in the organization of NKRUMAFEST and his efforts to promote the use of the Nzema Language in schools, institutions, and Ghanaian society at large. The Chief and Elders praised Mr Buah's endeavours as crucial for preserving the cultural heritage and unique identity of the Nzema people.
In recognition of his contributions, the Nvavile Family of Dr Kwame Nkrumah presented Mr Buah with a rich kente cloth and sandals (Ahenemma), symbolizing respect and appreciation. Additionally, the Chief of Nkroful, Nana Kwasi Kutua, presented Mr. Buah with a traditional smock as a token of gratitude.
Nana Kwasi Kutua highlighted Mr Buah's advocacy efforts, including his motion in Parliament advocating for the teaching and use of the Nzema Language in schools and institutions, as well as the writing of books in Nzema. The Chief acknowledged Mr Buah's dedication, noting that his motion garnered widespread support from other Members of Parliament.
Assuring Mr. Buah of the unwavering support of traditional rulers and the Nzema community, Nana Kwasi Kutua pledged to work alongside the MP to revitalize and promote the Nzema Language in schools, on the airwaves, and within Nzema communities.
