Stanbic employees donate GHC10,000 to Nsawam Women's Prison

Ghana's Affluent Team has demonstrated its commitment to corporate social responsibility by donating GH₵10,000 to the Medium Security Female Prison. The donation aims to support the refurbishment and equipping of vocational workstations, facilitating the ongoing upskilling of inmates.

This philanthropic gesture is part of the bank's annual corporate social initiatives conducted on a departmental basis. Additionally, the team extended its support to four newly discharged inmates to aid in their reintegration into society.

The assistance provided includes essential materials and tools for yogurt and soap making, sewing, and baking kits. Moreover, the recipients have been enrolled in the incubator program, which will offer continual mentorship as they embark on their entrepreneurial journeys.

Madam Margaret Obimpeh, Head of Affluent Clients at Stanbic Bank Ghana, led the delegation from the bank to present the items. She emphasized that the donation reflects the bank's dedication to driving national growth and supporting local communities.

Mrs. Victoria Adewodah, Assistant Director of Prisons, expressed gratitude for the partnership, describing it as a beacon of hope for the inmates' futures. She commended the Affluent Team for exceeding expectations and bringing joy to the Women's Prison.

Last year, the Affluent Team from Stanbic Bank Ghana constructed and handed over a fully equipped ultra-modern place of convenience to the Demonstration School for the Deaf at Mampong in the . Additionally, they donated assorted items to support the day-to-day running of the school.
