The Police have launched a probe into a viral video capturing a troubling incident in Dadease, near Kumawu in the Ashanti Region, where a Police officer was seen dragging a suspect on the floor during an arrest.
As a result of the video's emergence, the concerned Police officer has been swiftly detained and subsequently placed on interdiction pending the ongoing investigation.

Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the Inspector-General of Police has taken immediate action by sending a team from the Ashanti North Regional Police Command to engage with the victim's family.
Furthermore, he personally reached out to the victim's mother via telephone to provide reassurance that a thorough and impartial investigation will be carried out to address the incident.
