Togbe Afede XIV, the Executive Board Chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak, has expressed confidence in the club's ability to secure another league title despite a challenging start to the 2023/24 betPawa Ghana Premier League season.
The Phobians have accumulated four points from a possible 12 points, facing difficulties early in the season.
Speaking at the club's 5th Annual General Meeting, Togbe Afede XIV acknowledged the substantial investment made in recruiting new players but noted that the results were not meeting expectations.
Togbe Afede XIV referenced a similar slow start in the year they won the double (2020/21) and emphasized the club's confidence in recovering and meeting the expectations of the Hearts family.
He highlighted the strong defenders and midfielders in the team and expressed optimism about delivering better results soon.
The Chairman also called for patience from the fans, emphasizing the club's commitment to success through the implementation of appropriate measures.
Accra Hearts of Oak is scheduled to face Heart of Lions in Sogakope in their fifth match of the 2023/24 betPawa Ghana Premier League season.
