Ghanaian high jumper, Rose Amoanimaa Yeboah, has once again demonstrated her prowess on the international stage by setting a new national indoor record.
Yeboah cleared the bar at an impressive height of 1.88 meters, surpassing her previous record of 1.85 meters, while competing at the IIIini Challenge in the United States of America.
The 21-year-old athlete secured the top position in the women's high jump competition, leaving her competitors behind. Taylor Beard, the runner-up, cleared the bar at 1.70 meters.
Yeboah's outstanding performance not only solidifies her position as a high-profile athlete but also augurs well for Ghana's aspirations at the upcoming African Games scheduled to commence from March 8 to 24, 2024.
With her remarkable track record, including gold medals at the 2019 African Games in Rabat and the 2022 African Senior Athletics Championship in Mauritius, Yeboah is poised to play a pivotal role in Ghana's pursuit of more gold medals at the prestigious event.
