Mr. Yaw Sakyi Afari, Chairman of the Marketing and Sponsorship Committee of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the Accra 2023, has appealed to companies to support and sponsor the upcoming 13th African Games set to be hosted in Ghana.

During a facility inspection alongside twenty sports journalists at the University of Ghana and Borteyman, Mr. Afari emphasized the marketing opportunities available for businesses through sports sponsorship.

The tour covered newly constructed sports facilities, including a sports hall, tennis courts, an aquatic center for swimming, tartan tracks, and a football field.

Mr. Afari highlighted the potential for advertising spaces such as billboards, banners, and electronic platforms within these venues.

With the 13th African Games scheduled from March 3 to 23, 2024, Mr. Afari assured that Ghana is ready to host the event, expecting over 5,000 sportsmen and women, coaches, and officials from 55 countries participating in 25 sports disciplines.

Mr. Dan Kweku Yeboah, Chairman of the Media/Publicity Committee, and Mr. Maurice Quansah, a committee member, were also present during the facility inspection.
