CAMFED Ghana and Amalitech empower girls in ICT on International Girls-in-ICT Day

The Campaign for Female Education (CAMFED) Ghana, in collaboration with Amalitech Ghana, celebrated International Girls-in-ICT Day in , aiming to enhance girls' capacity in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and inspire them to pursue education and careers.

Madam Fairuza Safian, the National Director of CAMFED Ghana, emphasized the importance of educating girls about job opportunities in the ICT sector, highlighting the growing demand for ICT talents and the need for gender balance in the field. She encouraged girls to take ICT lessons seriously to seize the numerous opportunities available in the sector.

Madam Esther Nkrumah Amoah, Marketing Team Lead at Amalitech, underscored the significant contributions of the ICT field to human innovation and technological advancement. She emphasized the need for proactive technology companies to provide resources for training young females in ICT roles to bridge the gender gap. She called for initiatives to attract more females into tech careers to foster diversity and create more opportunities for women in the field.
