In a fiery meeting with Bantama delegates in Kumasi, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, launched a scathing attack on Francis Asenso-Boakye, the incumbent MP for the Bantama constituency.
Agyapong accused Asenso-Boakye, who also serves as the Minister of Works and Housing, of engaging in corrupt activities during his tenure at the Presidency.
The Assin Central MP urged delegates to vote against Asenso-Boakye in the upcoming New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries.
While making these accusations, Agyapong did not provide specific evidence to support his claims. He hinted at potentially explosive revelations about Asenso-Boakye's alleged corruption and framed it as a conditional offer, stating that whether he remains silent or exposes the alleged wrongdoing depends on the delegates' decision.
Agyapong is campaigning for his brother, Ralph Kwame Agyapong, who is also contesting for the Bantama seat in the NPP primaries. Delegates are set to vote on Saturday, January 27, in constituencies with sitting MPs.
