The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced the list of approved subjects for the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). In a statement dated March 1, 2024, Acting Director of Schools and Instructions Division, Prince C. Agyemang-Duah, on behalf of the Director-General of GES, outlined the subjects to be registered under mandatory, elective, and optional categories.
The statement highlights the mandatory subjects, which include English Language, Mathematics, General Science, Social Studies, Religious and Moral Education, Career Technology, and Creative Arts and Design. Additionally, Ghanaian languages are classified under elective subjects, while French, Arabic, and Computing are listed as optional subjects.
The GES has instructed all Regional Directors to closely oversee the registration process for the 2024 BECE, ensuring that candidates adhere strictly to the approved subjects.
