Dr Forson mentioned that discussions about Ofori-Atta's resignation or potential removal have circulated among parliamentary caucuses.
In an upcoming PM Express interview, Dr Forson stated, “There is a rumour all over that the Minister of Finance is going to resign or they are sacking him in the coming days, and that this is his last budget.”
He attributed the alleged move to the Minister's impact on the business environment, asserting that many businesses collapsed under his tenure.
Dr. Forson criticized Ofori-Atta, accusing him of making the economic environment difficult, and damaging his reputation.
The MP highlighted perceived negative aspects of the Minister's legacy, including the destruction of rival businesses, impacting the financial sector and causing extreme poverty for millions.
Supporting Dr. Forson's claim, Minority Chief Whip, Governs Kwame Agbodza, called the Finance Minister's performance poor.
He noted that despite the collective responsibility for Ghana's economic challenges, key figures like Vice President Dr Bawumia and the Governor of the Central Bank, Ernest Addison, have distanced themselves.
