The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the provisional results for candidates who sat for the WASSCE for School Candidates, 2023 (Ghana Only Version).
In a statement to its stakeholders, WAEC announced that the results are now available online, and heads of schools will be provided with login details to access the results of their respective candidates.
Candidates eager to check their results can do so on the Council’s official website, waecgh.org.
However, the Council has reported that the results of 4,878 candidates have been blocked.
This action was taken due to the failure of these candidates to return learning support materials provided by their schools.
Affected candidates are urged to contact their respective schools for further assistance.
WAEC has issued a cautionary note to all stakeholders, advising them to be vigilant against fraudulent individuals who claim to offer result upgrades for a fee.
Candidates are reminded that WAEC results are secure and can be authenticated through the Council’s results verification system.
Furthermore, the WAEC QR code is available for download and can be used to verify results.
WASSCE 2023 Performance Statistics
A total of 448,674 candidates, comprising 212,453 males and 236,221 females from 975 schools, participated in the examination.
This figure represents a 5.8% increase from the 2022 entry figure of 422,883.
Notably, 3,404 candidates, constituting 0.75% of the total, were reported as absent from the examination.
