Sweden thrash Tunisia 5–1 to stay top of Group F in FIFA World Cup 2026

Sweden national football team cruised to a commanding 5–1 victory over Tunisia national football team to maintain top spot in Group F.
Sweden took the lead in the 7th minute through Yasin Ayari before Tunisia pulled level in the 43rd minute when Omar Rekik found the net.
The Swedes regained control after the break, with Alexander Isak scoring in the 30th minute, followed by goals from Viktor Gyökeres in the 59th minute and Mattias Svanberg in the 84th minute. Ayari completed his brace deep into stoppage time to seal the emphatic win.
Sweden were clinical in attack, recording 13 shots with 8 on target, compared to Tunisia’s 5 shots and 2 on target.
Tunisia edged possession with 51% against Sweden’s 49% and completed slightly more passes, 331 to 320, but struggled to turn their possession into meaningful opportunities.
Sweden also earned more corners, 4 to Tunisia’s 2, while Tunisia were caught offside six times compared to Sweden’s three.
The victory keeps Sweden at the top of Group F, while Tunisia remain bottom of the standings after suffering their heaviest defeat of the campaign.
