Black Queens praised for spirited performance at Women’s Africa Cup of Nations

Accra, July 24, GNA – Mr Kofi Iddie Adams, Minister for Sports and Recreation, has commended the Black Queens for their spirited display against host Morocco at the ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The Black Queens were narrowly defeated 4-2 on penalties by the Atlas Lionesses in Rabat on Tuesday, missing out on a place in the finals. The team is now set to face South Africa in the third-place match on Friday, July 25, 2025, at the Stade Larbi Zaouli in Casablanca.
