Former Minister of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation, Professor Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng, has strongly denied allegations suggesting he made predictions about a significant number of people dying from heart diseases.

He expressed concern that some individuals have been using his pictures and AI-generated voices to promote fake drugs and nutritional supplements.

In a disclaimer, Professor Frimpong-Boateng refuted the claims, emphasizing that he has not granted any interviews predicting the number of people dying from heart diseases or discussing unique treatment methods for chronic diseases.

He labelled these stories fake and criminal, designed to deceive the public and tarnish his reputation.

The former minister highlighted his frustration with the slow pace of the police investigation into the fake adverts.

Despite lodging complaints at the CID headquarters, he hoped the perpetrators would be brought to justice.

Professor Frimpong-Boateng urged the public to ignore any advertisements featuring his image or name soliciting the purchase of drugs.

He emphasized the deceptive nature of such adverts and cautioned against falling victim to fraudulent schemes associated with his identity.
