In recent weeks, former Minister of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation, Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng, has been subject to numerous concerns regarding nefarious online activities.

Criminal elements have been utilizing his images and AI-generated voices to promote fake drugs and nutritional supplements, prompting the professor to issue a strong disclaimer.

Prof. Frimpong-Boateng clarified that he has not made predictions or granted interviews about the number of people expected to die from heart disease in Ghana.

Additionally, he categorically denied providing media interviews regarding unique treatment methods for various chronic diseases.

He condemned these activities as fake and criminal, emphasizing their intent to deceive the public and damage his reputation.

Expressing frustration with the slow progress of the police investigation into these fake adverts, the former minister disclosed that he has lodged complaints at the CID headquarters.

Despite limited action, he remains hopeful that the criminals behind these activities will be brought to justice.

Prof. Frimpong-Boateng urged the general public to disregard any advertisements featuring his image or name soliciting the purchase of drugs for various illnesses.

He cautioned against falling victim to fraudulent schemes associated with his identity.
