Madam Mavis Hawa Koomson, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Awutu Senya East, is fervently advocating for her re-election, underscoring her accomplishments and commitment to the development of her constituency.
The Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, vying for her fourth term in Parliament, asserted that she has made significant strides across various sectors, addressing the multifaceted needs of her constituents.
In a post-vetting media engagement in Cape Coast, Madam Koomson highlighted her investments in education, health, road infrastructure, water, and security, emphasizing her dedication to enhancing the quality of life for the people.
“I am putting up a police regional headquarters for the Central East Police Regional Command in my constituency to enhance security,” she announced. “I'm also providing boreholes to supply potable water to areas without pipe-borne water until they are finally connected.”
Acknowledging the expansive nature of her constituency, Madam Koomson acknowledged that some of her development projects might not be immediately apparent. However, she assured that she remained committed to implementing more initiatives to uplift her constituency.
With a wealth of experience, an amicable personality, and a robust track record of achievements, Madam Koomson asserted her standing among her contenders.
She faces competition from Mr. Bernard Ayeh Danquah and Mr. Eric Kwaku Boateng in the upcoming parliamentary primary.
