Chiquinho Conde, the Head Coach of Mozambique, has shared insights into his team's strategy ahead of the crucial Africa Cup of Nations group match against the Black Stars of Ghana. Conde emphasized the team's focus on exploiting Ghana's reliance on individual brilliance.
Speaking about Mohammed Kudus, the standout player for Ghana, Conde acknowledged Kudus' exceptional qualities but stressed the importance of team dynamics in football.
He stated, “He (Kudus) is a great player, and it is a pleasure to see him play, but football is more of a team sport than an individual sport.”
Conde revealed that Mozambique's technical team has identified weaknesses in Ghana's approach, noting that Ghana tends to rely on individual brilliance for results.
He emphasized that Mozambique is capitalizing on Ghana's team dynamics, which have not been optimal.
While discussing the motivation of his players, Conde acknowledged the challenges faced in the loss against Cape Verde but expressed confidence in drawing inspiration from their performance against Egypt.
He stated, “It is true, the loss against Cape Verde was physically and emotionally damaging, but we look to take inspiration from our performance against Egypt and perform better against Ghana.”
