Mohammed Kudus says he is fully committed to representing his country in competitions

West Ham United player has voiced his unwavering commitment to representing Ghana at the Africa Cup of Nations () 2023 in Cote d'Ivoire.

The midfielder, who missed the previous edition in due to injury, is eager to make his debut and has been diligently working in training to overcome recent setbacks.

In an interview with ghanafa.org, Kudus, a key player for 's squad, emphasized the significance of playing for the national team, expressing his dedication to the responsibility that comes with it.

“As a professional player, you're going to change clubs; you're likely going to play for a lot of teams, but your country and your national team remain the same. So for me to be part of the squad in a country of 30 million is a huge privilege that comes with a lot of responsibilities, so I don't joke with national team football,” said Kudus.

Acknowledging the pressure that comes with representing an entire nation, Kudus highlighted the immense privilege it is for him, his family, and the entire country.

He sees the opportunity to make the people happy as a significant honour and is determined to give his best for Ghana.

“I am fully committed to it. I always do my best when I am in the shirt, so we just urge the fans for more support and prayers, and we are going to do our best in the tournament,” he added.
