Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus has attributed the 2-2 draw against Mozambique in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to a lack of concentration on the part of the team.
The result left Ghana on the brink of exiting the competition, needing a win to progress to the next stage.
Expressing his disappointment, Kudus acknowledged the team's desire for victory but noted, “It's a big disappointment for us.” He emphasized the crucial moments of the game where concentration slipped, leading to the team losing a two-goal lead.
“We lost the game by losing concentration in the last minutes, like against Egypt too,” Kudus lamented, referring to a similar situation in a previous match.
Despite the setback, Kudus, named man of the match for the second time, believes Ghana showcased undeniable quality in the tournament. He remarked, “We showed lots of qualities here, but losing focus at the end cost us.”
