The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) is gearing up to celebrate the remarkable contributions of 100 businesses in Ghana at the 20th edition of the Ghana Club 100 awards.
The prestigious event is scheduled for Friday at the Accra International Conference Centre and is organized under the auspices of GIPC, in collaboration with the MIE Group, organizers of China Trade Week, and with media partnership from the Ghana News Agency.
The Ghana Club 100 awards, inaugurated in 1998, seek to foster effective corporate governance in Ghana's private sector, serving as a benchmark for corporate excellence. The ceremony also provides a platform for businesses to expand their supply networks, seek new opportunities, and extend their market reach.
This year's awards carry the theme: “Accelerating Economic Growth: Amplifying Ghana's Global Market Footprint through AFCFTA,” aimed at promoting investment, trade, and knowledge exchange to boost Ghana's economic growth.
Mr. Yoofi Grant, CEO of GIPC, emphasized the Centre's commitment to celebrating and motivating businesses in Ghana for national development. He noted that the awards played a crucial role in evaluating Ghanaian businesses and instilling in them the character and confidence required for success in the global marketplace.
Speaking on the event, Mr. Grant stated, “The awards will continue to promote Ghana's corporate capacity through creative media vehicles and activities, securing government backing to strengthen the business sector's international competitiveness.”
As part of the celebration, the Centre organized the Ghana Investment Week in October, bringing together investors, industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to address infrastructural bottlenecks and enhance intra-African trade.
Last year's top award went to Zeepay, a fintech and payment systems provider. Notable winners also included Newmont Ghana Gold Limited, Multipro Private Ltd, Gold Fields Ghana Limited, Scancom Plc, Maphlix Trust Ghana Limited, Amanex Co.Ltd, Express IDS Consult Agency Limited, Newmont Golden Ridge Limited, and GCB Bank Plc.
