Dreams FC, the current MTN FA Cup Champions, has secured a coveted spot in the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup. This significant achievement came following their victory over Sierra Leone's Kallon FC, marking a historic milestone in Ghanaian football.
The “Still Believe” lads have now etched their name in history as the first Ghanaian club to reach the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup in four years, a feat last accomplished by Asante Kotoko in 2019.
In a closely contested second-leg encounter against Kallon FC, Dreams FC managed to secure a crucial 1-1 draw. This result was pivotal, as it complemented their 2-1 victory in the initial leg held in Accra.
As a token of their achievement, Dreams FC is set to receive $400,000 from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for successfully progressing to the group stages of the competition.
The team now eagerly anticipates learning the identity of their upcoming opponents as they prepare to face some of the continent's top clubs, including Al Hilal Benghazi, Zamalek, Sagrada Esperanca, KCCA FC, Co Coyah, and others in the CAF Confederation Cup group stages.
