A distressing accident occurred at the Pedu Junction traffic light on the main Accra-Takoradi Road on Wednesday, 31st January 2024, at 11:44 am. The collision reportedly resulted from the malfunctioning traffic light at the busy intersection, which has been inoperative for more than three months.
According to an eyewitness, a taxi from Elmina to Moree was hit by an unidentified private car from Accra while turning onto Adisadel Road. Shockingly, the private car fled the scene immediately after the incident. The taxi driver, along with three traders and a baby, sustained severe injuries and were promptly transported to Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for emergency medical attention.
