The visit was aimed at introducing ASSETS and its trade support initiatives for Ghanaian startups and SMEs while exploring opportunities for collaboration to advance Ghana’s trade and industrialisation agenda.
ASSETS, a pan-African non-profit organisation headquartered in Accra, focuses on empowering African startups and SMEs to access global markets, with particular emphasis on opportunities under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
During the meeting, both sides discussed potential areas of collaboration, including capacity building, export readiness programmes, trade missions, implementation of the AfCFTA, access to finance, regulatory compliance, and market access for SMEs.
Mr Ahi commended ASSETS for its commitment to supporting Ghanaian businesses and promoting intra-African trade, reaffirming the Ministry’s commitment to working with strategic partners to help local enterprises expand into regional and global markets.
