On 6th January 2026, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP), received the High Commissioner of the United Kingdom, His Excellency Christian Rogg. The discussions focused on elevating bilateral relations between Ghana and the UK to a strategic partnership to enhance cooperation in economic growth, governance, and education.

He outlined measures by the government to improve fiscal discipline, strengthen public institutions, support Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), and foster regional stability.

His Excellency Rogg commended Ghana’s progress in governance, economic management, and democratic reforms, and affirmed the UK’s readiness to deepen cooperation in education, skills development, and institutional capacity-building.
