In collaboration with the Anaji Choice Mart Lounge in the Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipality, Isaiah Mensah, the renowned fashion designer, organized the inaugural Anaji Fest to add vibrancy to the Christmas celebrations.
The event aimed to showcase artistic talents, featuring a musical extravaganza to infuse the Christmas spirit into the celebrants while putting Anaji in the spotlight.
The night saw electrifying performances from various artists, including Quesi Ghana, Kweku Baby, Nero X, Aya Ramzy B, Ayesam, Evidens, Sally M, Westside Gang, Shakes, Papa Elliot, OK, F and F, Mesagx, and Snow B, captivating the enthusiastic crowd.
Before the musical performances, the Anaji Fest kicked off with engaging games like oware, ludo, jams, and cards, adding a festive atmosphere.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency during the event, Isaiah Mensah expressed gratitude to the management of Anaji Choice Mart Lounge for sponsoring the event and providing a platform for the show. He emphasized the progress of entertainment in the Western Region but called for more support from the government and corporate entities.
Mensah highlighted the abundance of highlife artists in the Western Region and stressed the importance of financial backing to propel them onto the international stage. He urged sponsorship and investment in the Anaji Fest to promote the image of Anaji and the Western Region.
Mensah appealed to the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Culture to expedite innovation works at the Centre for National Culture in Fijai to support artists in the musical and literary realms.
The supervisor for Anaji Choice Mart Lounge, Paul Marcus, described the gesture as part of the company's corporate social responsibility, providing artists with a platform to showcase their talents on a larger stage.
Marcus mentioned plans for future collaborations with the Anaji Fest team to organize subsequent editions in a grand style.
